KIA ORA!

MAORI TITI STICKS

Traditionally, only men used the Maori Titi Sticks.  In fact, it was developed so that the Maori warriors would be able to develop their skills of precision for use in battle.

Today, both men and women use them.  The sticks are tossed in pairs by one dancer, and in instances, tossed in the air and caught between partners or groups of four or more.
