Hâlau Hula Achievements 

Most recently, thirty of our haumana participated in the Ka Hula Le`a (The Joy of Hula) Competition in Waikoloa, Hawai`i in August 2002.  Unlike the many fierce and highly competitive hula competitions on the mainland or in the islands, the mandate of this particular festival is to teach and perpetuate the Hula according to the old ways of Hawai`i.  Like its title states, it is more a celebration of hula than it is a competition.
